Removing

the base grille

(on some

models)

For manual-defrost models: The base grille will need to be removed when defrosting the freezer. To remove the grille: 1. Open the door. 2. Pull on both sides of the grille. To replace the grille: 1. Line up grille support tabs with openings in freezer cabinet. 2. Push firmly to snap grille into place. 3. Close the door.

Using

the drain

system

(on some models)

The freezerâs drain system consists of: l drain cap and sleeve (at the liner and cabinet bottom); and l drain hose. The drain hose carries defrost water out of the freezer, and through the area behind the base grille, into a drain pan for disposal. NOTE: The drain cap must be removed before defrosting the freezer and replaced securely afterward. \
