Having purchased a 1994 Kenwood music system from a Charity shop in 2013 (it was a high end product in its day), I found myself not quite knowing where to plug in what, and how to do this, that and the next thing. I needed a Manual, and after failure with another online 'Manual provider' I found Owner Manuals dot com. Well, I wasn't sure, but it was only $5, and if things didn't work out, I wouldn't have lost much...
But things DID work out. After paying my childrens inheritance money, $4.99, I was sent a Manual for my Kenwood System very quickly. Alas, it was in German, and being Scottish, I could not read it or get my system in order from it...a rapid email to them brought the English Manual in short order, and my retro-system was and IS up and running in it's regulation settings.
I am very grateful to http://www.owner-manuals.com for their quick service and for even having such an obsolete Manual in the first place! If you need a Manual for ANYTHING, try here first. I wouldn't be surprised if I bought a 1928 Marconi radio, and got the user Manual for THAT here too!

Using the Surface Units
PUSH IN AND TURN
Surface Unit Markers
The solid dot in the surface unit marker shows which surface unit is turned on by that knob.
Surface Unit Indicator lights
Control knobs must be pushed in before turning them to a setting. They can be set anywhere between HI and OFF. One of the surface unit indicator lights on the control panel will glow when a surface unit is on.
Burn and Fire Hazard Be sure all control knobs are turned to OFF and all indicator lights are OFF when you are not cooking. Someone could be burned or a fire could start if a surface unit is accidentally left ON. Until you get used to the settings, use the following as a guide. For best results, start cooking at the high settings; then turn the control knob down to continue cooking. Turn on the surface unit only after placing filled pan on unit. Use HI to start Use MED-HI Use MED Use MED-LO Use LO to foods cookto hold a for gravy, to keep food keep food ing; to bring rapid boil; to puddings cooking after warm until liquids to a fry chicken and icing; to starting it ready to boil. or pancakes. cook large on a higher serve. Set the amounts of setting. heat higher vegetables. or lower within the LO band to keep food at the temperature you want.
Cookware
There is no one brand of utensil that is best for all people. Knowing something about pan materials and construction will help you select the right cooking utensils for your needs.
1. Use only
flat-bottomed utensils that make good contact with the surface units. To check the flatness of a utensil: l Turn it over and check the bottom of the pan by placing a ruler across it. l Rotate the ruler in all directions. There should be no gaps between the pan and the ruler.
