Foods are best when they have been defrosted just to the point where a fork can be inserted, but still have some ice crystals remaining. The indicator bar over defrost will flash and the time will count down. When 5 minutes is up the oven will beep twice and an equal amount of hold time (5:00) will appear in the display and start counting down.
